{"id":5552,"date":"2023-07-06T19:31:26","date_gmt":"2023-07-06T09:31:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/acuads.com.au\/?page_id=5552"},"modified":"2024-08-05T17:34:39","modified_gmt":"2024-08-05T07:34:39","slug":"acuads-first-nations-staff-award","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/acuads.com.au\/awards\/acuads-first-nations-staff-award\/","title":{"rendered":"ACUADS First Nations Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First Nations Catalyst Award<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The award recognises a First Nations art and\/or design academic who identifies as an Aboriginal and\/or Torres Strait Islander person, and whose research and\/or pedagogy engages with the contemporary challenges of higher education and\/or ways of knowing in art and\/or design, and\/or addresses the diversity of staff and student communities.\u00a0<\/span><br>First Nations continuing and fixed term, and casual academic staff are encouraged to apply. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Nomination Process<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Self or peer nominations are welcomed with endorsement by Heads of School (or equivalent), and should comprise:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A two-page evidence-based statement in the format provided that addresses the selection criteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence that may be in the form of a course pilot or case study and\/or traditional and\/or non-traditional research outputs (NTROs), institutional recognition and\/or peer review, and\/or award, and\/or teaching metrics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The nominee&#8217;s two-page CV, with attention to achievements relevant to the selection criteria in the areas of teaching and\/or research, including practice-based research. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Description and explanation of how course design, delivery and\/or assessment and\/or research, including practice-based research, contributes to knowledge\/s and practice\/s in art and\/or design. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence of:<br>a) how the methodology\/ies and\/or approach\/es benefited teaching and student experience in art and\/or design, which may include student achievements on completing the course &#8211;
